Our Story

Hello! I’m Rikki Miller, the heart ♡ behind May Lily Designs. As a third-generation florist, flowers have been in my blood for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a family-owned flower shop where my grandmother, dad, mom, and aunts worked, I was surrounded by the beauty and artistry of florals from a young age. Now, I’m thrilled to carry on that legacy and share my passion for flowers with you.
I’m a wife to my wonderful husband, Chris, and a proud mom of three. While I’m originally from Morganton, NC, Charlotte has been my home for over 20 years. I find inspiration in the beauty of nature, gardening, and the simple joys of life with my family. Above all, my faith in Jesus guides me in all that I do, and I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to bring beauty and joy into the lives of others.
May Lily Designs is more than just a floral business; it’s a reflection of who I am. The name itself holds deep meaning—named after the Lily of the Valley, my birth month flower, which symbolizes purity, renewal, and faith. In the Bible, the lily is often associated with hope and resurrection, and these themes are at the core of what I stive to offer my clients: a touch of beauty, hope, and love in every design.
I am dedicated to making your special moments even more memorable with the beauty of flowers. Whether it's an event or a simple bouquet to brighten someone's day, my goal is to put a smile on your face and joy in your heart. I’m excited to serve my community and grow this business, trusting that God’s plan will guide me along the way.
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life’s celebrations, and I look forward to creating something beautiful with you!
Blessings,
Rikki
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!

My grandmother, Carada Hood, pictured in May 1984 inside Crescent Flower Shop — the place where her vision took root and generations of beauty began to bloom. It’s where my foundation was laid and my passion first blossomed.

My parents, hard at work in our family flower shop in Morganton, NC. Their tireless dedication shaped my world — instilling drive, creativity, and a deep work ethic long before I even understood the lessons I was learning.
